Race The Helix-Upstate 2021

Short review

Please join us on May 8th for the 7th annual Race the Helix-Upstate, inspired by one family's desire to raise awareness for genetic disorders and funding for genetic research!  All proceeds benefit the Greenwood Genetic Center Foundation to support genetics services, testing, and research for families impacted by genetic disorders.   For the health and safety of our participants, families, and volunteers, all Race the Helix-Upstate events will be virtual for 2021.  You will have the opportunity to complete the event for which you register at your convenience during the week leading up to May 8th.  Information about submitting times for the 5K event will be communicated too all registered participants as we get closer to the event date.   Entry Fees: $25 for 5K (t-shirt not included) Free for 1 mile Walk The Helix (t-shirt not included) Race the Helix performance t-shirts and face masks will be available for purchase for an additional $5 each when you register.  The deadline to order t-shirts and face masks is April 9th.  These items will not be available to order after this date.  We will offer pick-up times for any items purchased during the week of May 3rd at the Greenville Office of the Greenwood Genetic Center.  If you do not live in the Greenville area, we will arrange an alternative pick-up at one of our other offices or we will mail your items to you.  

 

New this year:  Peer-to-Peer Fundraising!  Earn entries into our Race the Helix-Upstate raffle by participating in our peer-to-peer fundraising campaign through RunSignup.  Every $50 raised will earn 1 entry into the raffle that will take place on May 8th.  We are working to acquire a variety of wonderful items from local businesses and GGC supporters.  More information about raffle items and delivery of items to winners will be provided as we get closer to the event.
