  THIS IS A RUNNER AND WALKER EVENT 

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a neuromuscular disease that attacks the brain and spinal cord. It takes away the ability to move, speak, swallow, and ultimately breathe. The Emory ALS Center is part of the Emory Brain Health Center, led by Dr. Jonathan Glass, is one of the largest clinical centers for ALS in the United States. Their team approach to ALS care and research bridges multiple disciplines and departments, all sharing the same goal of a world without ALS

 

 

 

RUN THE JACKRABBIT TRAIL
The Jackrabbit Trail is rated as one of the best running and mountain bike trails in North Carolina. The trail is surrounded by beautiful Lake Chatuge with a boating area, campgrounds and great places to visit in Hiawassee and Hayesville. So spend the weekend and enjoy the race.10k will not be a double 5k.The 10k will be a single loop that adds another trail segment. The half marathon will cover 95% of the trails and you will love it. I reviewed the course by walking it and the 10k and half marathon trails are shaded,and not difficult to run.
