Short review

COVID-19 Update: 
I hope this email finds you in good health and good spirits. We know this year has not played out how any of us imagined it would and it's been a difficult year for so many of us. After having to postpone thee race to October, the goal of this event became simply to put it on as an outlet for folks to get out and race alongside some people to lift spirits and shine some light in really tough times.

After talking with the team, and weighing all the pros and cons of different scenarios, we've come to the decision to hold the 2020 race virtually. Although that is not the decision I wanted to make, I believe it is the right one at this point. Thee main factor in our decision was the overwhelming amount of athletes who have already requested to race virtually, over 65% of those registered.

How it will work: 
I'm assuming most of us are familiar with virtual racing at this point. But, I will lay it out here for those of us that might be new to virtual racing / submitting results. 

1. You can pickup your bib, shirt and medal at Performance Running Outfitters in Brookfield from Thursday the 22nd - Saturday the 24th during store hours. Simply walk in the store, and let them know you're here to pickup your Quarry view packet - the staff will assist you safely and get you your race swag :). If you're unable to pickup your gear from PRO, please email jay@stampederunningco.com and we will arrange to have your gear shipped. If you're choosing to ship your gear you can expect it to arrive between the 22nd - 27th of October. 

2. Run your race! You may choose to run your own route, or go to the race route (see course maps below). Although the race route will not be marked, it is an easy course to navigate and run alongside the quarry! Once you're done, simply go here, and submit your results online. Results do not need to be from a GPS device, you may enter them in manually. YOU MUST enter in your race results by the end of the day on Sunday the 25th. Results will become official on Monday - if you miss submission, you will not be included in the race results.

3. Overall awards will be mailed out to the winners :). You can expect those the week following the race!

Again, we want to thank you for your support of local running races and the local running industry in general. It's been a tough year and your support means the world to all of us! We're beyond excited and anxious to have you back in person with us in 2021! That is, of course pending that Godzilla hasn't taken rule over the earth and the flying monkeys haven't been released... LOL.

The Quarry View 5k & 10k is truly a unique experience.  The family friendly run/walk event starts and finishes in Menomonee Park and runs along the paved Bugline trail.  This is a fast and fun course, with an awesome view high above the Halquist Stone Quarry.  All participants get a shirt, finisher medal, and race bib.  There will be awards for the top overall male and female for each distance, and top 3 in each age group.  Our charity partner for the Quarry View 5k & 10k is the Milwaukee Rescue Mission: we donate and we give you the chance to as well.  There is a $5 per car fee to enter the park… but trust us… for this race, it’s totally worth it!

Have a little kiddo that wants to run too but isn't ready for the full distance?  They're in luck! We have a Kids 1k Fun Run sponsored by Legendary Fitness at this years Quarry View race.  Even better, the Kids 1k Fun Run is free!  They get a fun Finishers Medal and Race Bib!
