Portland Relay For Life Half Marathon & 5K 2019

Short review

Due to the construction at Portland High School we are unable to use the facility, as we have in the past.  We are reworking the route, with a start/finish at The Red Mill Pavilion near the Bogue Flats Recreation Area.  Route maps are coming soon!

The 1/2 marathon course is mostly flat, with some gradual declines/inclines, on a paved river trail. The start will be at The Red Mill Pavilion then an out-and-back for miles 1-3. There will be two points where you leave the trail (Rindlehaven and Market St).  Signage and persons will be at critical spots.

The 5K starts at The Red Mill Pavilion, then loops to an out-and-back at the finish.

Aid stations, at miles:  1, 3, 5, 6.75, 8.5,10, 12

Packet pick-up and on-site registration...Saturday July 20, 4:00-6:00 pm, at The Red Mill Pavilion (450 N Water St, Portland) or Sunday, July 21 at The Red Mill Pavilion, beginning at 6:00 am.  Cash or checks, made payable to "American Cancer Society".  Half Marathon=$50, 5K=$25

Half Marathon begins at 7:30 am.  The 5K starts at 8:00 am.

There is no time limit for the course, however our professional timer will leave after three hours.  We will have workers along the route, and a bike escort.

Hotel information:  The American Heritage Inn 1681 E. Grand River, Portland MI  48875 517-647-2200

All proceeds to American Cancer Society.
