Short review
The 8th Annual Portage Winter Blast Half Marathon/10K/5K is organized by Susan G. Komen Michigan, Kalamazoo Area Runners, and the City of Portage in a community celebration of health and wellness. All proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen Michigan. Over the last 20 years, Komen Michigan has funded over $12 million in community breast health programs across 24 counties.
COVID-19 Update 01/13/2021With ongoing concerns surrounding COVID-19, in the best interest of our community we have made the decision to switch to a virtual event. While the pandemic has cancelled many important moments in our lives, our mission to end breast cancer isn’t cancelled, and neither is the Winter Blast event! We're inviting you to participate virtually, because the women and men facing breast cancer need our support now, as much as ever. Whether it's emotional support via our helpline, financial support through our treatment assistance program, or help navigating their care journey, we must be there for them.
No one should face breast cancer alone. Whether you run for a friend who is newly-diagnosed, a co-worker living with this disease or in memory of a loved one, or yourself, we're stronger when we run together - even when we're apart.
Additional details regarding the virtual races will be released in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned for updates.
