Short review

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the following changes will take place. Participants will be split up into 3 waves throughout the day. Participants must show up for check-in at their designated time (no earlier or later than scheduled). After finishing, participants are expected to clean up, cool down, and leave the venue before the end of that wave's time block. We have a liberal refund policy, so if you are sick, have symptoms, or have been exposed to someone with symptoms, please stay home and we will refund your entry. Additional changes include:

No spectatorsNo finisher medals (participants will still receive an event t-shirt)No awards ceremonyNo chip timing (event will be manually timed)Elites are encouraged to sign up for the first heat, but all waves will be timedMasks or face coverings are required at all times except when on the courseNo day-of registration

The event takes place on one of the Northeast's premier permanent obstacle course venues. The Newbsanity Mud Gauntlet course is consistently nominated by MudRunGuide as one of the top permanent obstacles courses in the nation.

The Newbsanity Mud Gauntlet is a tough and challenging course but offers options on many of the obstacles. This 3.5 mile course winds around 100 acres of wooded terrain in which you'll encounter many natural and man-made obstacles. You'll get to choose your difficulty level by taking either the Risk and Reward path or the Tried and True path. This allows for the seasoned athlete and the first-timer to compete together, side‑by‑side.

Open - This heat is for anyone who is looking for mud, obstacles and adventure! Participants in this heat will have a chance to tackle all of the obstacles on the course, but are not required to attempt or complete all obstacles. Athletes are encouraged to help each other out on course and have fun!

Elite - This heat is timed and awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers. Athletes in this heat are expected to complete all obstacles or associated penalties.

Multi Lap - Athletes in this heat are expected to complete all obstacles or associated penalties. Athletes may not start a lap after the 4 hour time limit but are able to finish the lap they are on. All multi lap athletes must start during the first wave.

Elite + Multi Lap - Athletes that would like to compete in both the elite and multi lap races must sign up using this ticket option. Athletes will begin in the 7:30AM wave. Please note, the elite lap will not count towards the overall lap total for the multi lap race.
