  42nd running of Montgomery's Jubilee Run.

Come join the excitement of Montgomery’s oldest running event!  Montgomery Jubilee Runs are now set for May 15th, 2021.  This traditional event features competitive runs on 8K and 2-Mile USATF certified courses.   

The River Region Runners' Club is once again proud to plan, organize, and host the 2021 Montgomery Jubilee Run in its 42nd year.  This year's run will raise funds for a charity designated by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) in support of the Montgomery Police Department (MPD), e.g., Police Relief Fund.  The MPD, through the FOP Lodge 29, is the major sponsor for this year's run.  The runs will be staged from Old Alabama Town. 

The 8K running event attracts runners from all over the River Region, Alabama, and beyond!  In addition to the 8K, there will be a 2-mile run in honor of Peggy McLendon Lanier.

 

Race Information:

Courses: The USATF (AL19019JE and AL19026JE) certified courses will be well marked.  The 8K (map) and 2M (map) go through historic downtown Montgomery and the surrounding neighborhoods with an exhilarating downhill finish to Old Alabama Town!

Aid Stations:  Water stations will be located along the courses.

Traffic:  Traffic control will be provided by the Montgomery Police Department.

Medical:  Medical support will be provided to assure the safety of runners.

Chip Timing:  The 8K and 2-Mile runs are chip timed events.  All awards are based on race gun time per USATF Rule 245.1.

8K Male and Female unique awards to:  Overall (3);   Masters (1);   Grandmasters (1);  Senior Grandmasters (1);  Age Group: 5-9, 10-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ (3)

2 Mile Male and Female unique awards to:  Overall (1);  Age Groups: 1-4, 5-9, 10-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ (1)

Note: No Duplication Of Awards!

 

Race Packets:

Race packets will not be mailed. They will be available for pick-up May 14th (3 - 7 p.m.) at Old Alabama Town (301 Columbus Street) and on race day, May 15th, from 6:00 a.m. until 7:15 a.m.  Only late packet pick-up on the day of the race for registered runners.  Packets will contain your official race number and Jubilee Run shirts.

 

Race Numbers:

Race numbers must be worn visibly on the front of the runner for the duration of the race. Failure to do so can result in disqualification.

 

Results:

Race results will be posted as soon as available on the RunSignUp Jubilee Run website and Montgomery Jubilee Run Facebook page.  Complete unofficial 8K & 2-Mile results will appear in the Montgomery Advertiser.

Notices:

Shirt Notice:  To be guaranteed an event shirt, you must pre-register online or with mail-in registration form by 5/6/21.  Runners who sign up at packet pick-up or on race day are not guaranteed a shirt.  Any leftover shirts available at packet pick-up will be offered on a first come first served basis.

Cancellation Statement:  This event will occur rain or shine.  The Jubilee Runs reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances.  In the event of cancellation, there will be no refunds.
