You can complete this challenge on your own through any form of fitness — walking, running, biking, or any way you choose! Complete your 5K in one day or over a few — it is up to you! This virtual 5K is not timed or a competition, but, feel free to send your time and your pics to us at campmechuwana@gmail.com so we can share them on our website once the event is complete. We want everyone to be able to virtually cheer you on and congratulate you on your accomplishment and support of camp!
Our 2nd Annual Mechu-RUN-a begins on Monday, June 28th and ends on Friday, August 13th, which is our last day of our summer camp season. Register in advance and then complete your 5K anytime between those dates.
On your race day, we encourage you to wear any camp gear like a shirt, hat, or sweatshirt & post a photo to #MechuRUNa5K and tag us at @campmechuwana.
Your registration fee, along with any additional donations received, will go directly to support Camp Mechuwana’s summer food program, which is feeding families throughout rural areas of Central Maine. Help us ensure that families receive meals throughout the summer.
*When participating, please make sure to adhere by all social distancing policies and recommendations. Your participation is completely voluntary.
