Short review

Registrations within the race week will NOT be guaranteed a tee shirt. Those registering the week of the race will get a tee shirt on a first come/first serve basis.

The first 150 participants to register for either the 1 mile or 5k will receive a finisher's medal.

COVID PRECAUTIONS: Since the entire community we serve live with underlaying conditions which place them at high risk, we are hosting the Living Incredible Race as a come and go event. You may show up anytime between 7:30am and 10:30am to pick up you packet and begin your walk or run. If you are participating in the 5k race, your chip will begin when you cross the starting line and end when you cross the finish line. The times will be collected and the top 3 finishers adult/ youth; male/ female; wheelchair/ ambulatory/ no physical impairment will have plaques mailed to their home. Everyone will receive a finisher's medal and tee-shirt.

The Living Incredible Race is a series of 3 races: 1 mile fun run, 5k wheelchair event and 5k open run (with separate medaling categories for amputees) which will be located at Shryock Park (A.K.A the Castle Park) in Augusta, KS. The race begins by the water park, will loop around the baseball fields and return back to Shryock Park.

Wichita Adaptive sports non-profit has been operating for 3 years. 2018 was our first year to host track and field and we had 32 athletes participate. There is exciting news in the Kansas running world which is that wheelchair track athletes will now be allowed to compete for their school team at the Kansas State Track meet, which creates a high need for racing chairs. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover athlete equipment so many youth do not have the equipment needed in order to fully participate as they lack running prosthesis and proper wheelchairs. This event is designed to raise money to provide racing chairs or running blades, host clinics to teach youth how to use their adaptive equipment and take the youth to an adaptive track meet in Oklahoma for those who desire to be active. During the awards ceremony there will be a recipient who will receive a running prosthesis or racing chair.
