REGISTRATION – Online registration for the LCR Half Marathon,10K and 5K Team Race is now open through Sunday February 7, 2021. Registration will be
$35 for all runners in all events and will include:
 Long-sleeve performance t-shirt
 LCR finisher’s medal
 Souvenir bib
 Shipping for all of the above
 You will also have a chance for age-group and overall awards
 All proceeds benefit the Dine’ Bike Project on the Navajo Nation

THE RACES – The 2021 LCR is a virtual event offering runners three events: Half marathon, 10K and 5K Team Race. The half and 10K are solo events that should be run on your own course (dirt roads and/or trails), self-supported and timed during the race window of Monday through Sunday, February 1-7.

The 5K team race works like this: all three members of the team complete the 5K. Teams will be scored like a cross country meet. This race may be ran on track, road or dirt. A set of plaque awards will be presented to the overall team champion, as well as the top chapter and fastest church team.

CHARITY BIBS – Charity bibs are available. If you fund-raise $250, you will gain free entry and some cool swag, while supporting a great cause. In these difficult times, we greatly appreciate your support. You can also fund-raise beyond $250 for additional great prizes. Contact us if you would like more information about LCR’s charity bib program.

SUBMITTING YOUR TIME – After the race, you will submit your time to us at the link that you receive after you register. If that does not work, please submit your time to our timer Josh at info@rmtiming.co.

AWARDS – Winners of the half marathon, 10K and 5K receive plaque awards.

Age-groups winners receive awards of Native American art and craft items by Jimmy Keith in the following half marathon and 10K categories: 14 & under, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59. 60-69 and 70+. The top overall team, plus the fastest chapter team and top church team will receive a set of plaques.

The LCR Half Marathon,10K and Team 5K, along with the entire Navajo Parks Race Series, are co-sponsored by the Navajo Nation-based nonprofit organization NavajoYES, LCR Navajo Tribal Park and Navajo Parks & Recreation, with support from Cameron Chapter, Navajo EMS and the Navajo Rangers. While you won’t see these folks on race day this year, we thank them for their ongoing support of the LCR races and look forward to being together again in person next February.
