Short review
Join us for our FREE, fifth annual marathon around the neighborhoods of Seattle. Run solo or split the full distance however you like with a relay team.
This year, you can run the course during the race window of December 25-31, and submit your results online by January 1st. Participants are allowed to self organize small groups at their own discretion. Social distance, please!
The route has plenty of awesome places along the way: Green Lake, Golden Gardens beach, Magnolia bluff, Elliot Bay trail, Olympic Sculpture Park, Pike Place and downtown Seattle, Broadway on Capitol Hill, the Burke Gilman trail with views of South Lake Union, and the Fremont Troll (a couple blocks off route). There are a couple notable climbs, so make sure you train on some hills to avoid the notorious "wall" on the final stretch.
Race Parking and Start/Finish is located at the Green Lake north parking lot, at 7300 West Green Lake Dr N, Seattle WA
— RELAY TEAMS —
Teams are allowed to split the course in any way they like. Feel free to park along the course, cheer on your runners, and exchange your runners along the route.
— NAVIGATING THE COURSE —
We are providing a downloadable course map which we suggest loading onto your phone or GPS watch to avoid getting lost.
Note: The marathon route is re-routed due to the Locks crossing being closed. We're also skipping downtown to help with social distancing which means a reroute via Mercer, South Lake Union, Eastlake, the Howe Street Stairs (sorry, it's a very steep quarter mile), and heading the other way on the Burke Gilman towards Ravenna Park.

13.1 mile route option: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/fullscreen/2834312572
— RACE MEDALS —
Similar to previous years, we will have custom wood etched "medals" available if you donate ($5 minimum suggested donation). Charity nominations will be accepted by email or our Facebook page (coming soon) and all net proceeds (after covering the cost of the race medals) will be split evenly among the top 2 nominated charities.
More details may be added here so please check back in December.
