On the 10k course, you'll catch the quiet of rural roads, the twists and turns of natural wooded trails, then the challenge and reward of a dune climb that will take your breath away- literally!

To ensure a safe in-person event, we will be capping each start window to ensure our ability to provide a safe experience for all participants, staff and volunteers.

***NOTE: All runners will be assigned a wave start time.

Lake Michigan RTS combines Road, Trail, and Sand to provide a truly unique race experience along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Whether you’re a road racer looking to mix things up a bit, an avid trail runner, or just a running adventurer, either course has something for you.

The best part? All proceeds benefit P.O.R.T. through Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Foundation.

Please be aware that this is a challenging race- it will start out on the road, head into hilly trails, and through soft dune sand at a steep incline.

Important Event Updates

On Course Water/Hydration:

All participants are required to carry their own hydration during the race.There will be water to fill your bottle/hydration system at the start of the race, but participants are encouraged to come with fully filled hydration system.Boxed water will be available at the finish line

It will be very hot on the course- especially in the dune bowl. You MUST have a hydration system, water bottle, or other method to carry water with you in order to be allowed to start the race.

Packet Pick Up:

All participants must pick up their packets prior to arrival at the race site at one of the following options:Thursday July 15 || 6p-8pm || Holland Civic Center (150 W 8th St, Holland, MI 49423) This will be a drive through packet pick up.Friday July 16 || 11am-7pm || Gazelle Sports Holland (24 W 8th St, Holland, MI 49423)Saturday July 17 || 12p-4p || Gazelle Sports Holland (24 W 8th St, Holland, MI 49423) This option available only for evening start participants.
