About the KC Temple Run
Established in 2011, the KC Temple Run is an annual 5K run made successful by its more than 2000 participants each year. Truckloads of food and thousands of hygiene and cleaning items have been donated by KC Temple Run attendees to various local charitable organizations including Hillcrest Hope (2016) and Valor Ranch (2019).  This year, the KC Temple Run is partnering with Amethyst Place, a local organization dedicated to helping families receive safe housing and basic needs; educational and vocational supports; recovery, wellness, and financial coaching; and therapy and care management for as long as they need to help the whole family heal and thrive.

Members of the community look forward to this free event each spring. Running clubs, families of all ages, or simply those wanting to make a healthy choice and support a local charity find the KC Temple run to be a wonderful experience.
