Jane's Warriors 5K Run & Walk 2023

Short review

The Jane Caliendo Memorial Foundation hopes to raise funds to provide scholarships to Sandburg athletes as well as providing resources to Orland Park and the surrounding community.

The Jane Caliendo Memorial Foundation will once again pledge part of our net proceeds to the University of Chicago Medicine.  More specifically, to the clinical research performed by Dr. Blase Polite.  Dr. Polite specifically treated Jane through her illness and the Jane Caliendo Memorial Foundation, in appreciation for all that Dr. Polite did for Jane, would like to support his innovative research in his battle against colon cancer.

The Jane Caliendo Memorial Foundation is a non-for-profit foundation which strives to provide resources to Carl Sandburg students and surrounding community so that more warriors with the Jane Caliendo spirit, pride and purpose can be fostered through high school and given the skills, resiliency and pride to make a difference in our community as adults.

All runners will be chip timed by Its Race Time, Inc. and your results will be streamed live during the race.

 *Please note that Walkers will not be timed, so please make your selection as a runner or walker when signing up.

Race starts and ends at the Metra Train Station at the Northwest corner of Centennial Park. 5K Run/Walk takes participants around the beautiful loops of scenic Centennial Park. The course will be on pavement, paved trails and packed gravel trails. The course is stroller friendly for walkers.

We encourage you to register for this event by August 22 to guarantee your t-shirt and size.  If we receive your registration after that date, you will not be guaranteed your t-shirt size.

Race Day Registration will be from 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.  If it is a beautiful morning, we encourage you to come out early to register and avoid the crowd!

Cost is $35.00 on race day.  We will be accepting cash, check and credit cards.
