Jadon's Hope Bug Run 5K/10K - VIRTUAL RACE ONLY 2021

Short review

The 9th annual Jadon’s Hope BUG Run/Walk is going virtual in 2021! Our mission is to support the Jadon's Hope Foundation and honor the lives of all SMA Warriors and Angels.Specific Virtual day of celebration is April 10, 2021.

As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, our top priority is the safety and well-being of our community, participants, volunteers, sponsors, and planning committee. While we look forward to seeing everyone at the BUG Run each year, we have made the decision to turn the 9th Annual Jadon's Hope BUG RUN into a virtual run.  We will strive to bring you the most enjoyable experience and bring more awareness to SMA and continue to support the Jadon’s Hope Foundation.  As you can imagine needs are higher than ever.  We hope to bring you much joy and Hope in celebrating the lives of all SMA Warriors and Angels while continuing to support the mission of the Jadon's Hope Foundation.

The virtual run is open for registration!  You choose how far, you choose when!!  Price of Registration is $20

 April 10, 2021, will be the date on our calendar for our virtual event however, you can run or walk your race when it's convenient for you!

We will not be offering medals this year but, we will have a race shirt for you and hopefully some more goodies along the way!

Here are a few other things we are working on, so please be on the lookout for more details coming soon:
💙 Drive-through packet pick-up option TBD. Please understand that we will not be mailing out run packets. We want you to get your shirt and swag.
💙 I Run For cards will still be available to run in honor of an SMA Warrior or Angel.

It is our goal to still make the Jadon’s Hope BUG Run a fun, family event, so we invite you to share and post your virtual run pictures and stories using the hashtag #2021BugRun on Facebook. As always, BUG Run proceeds benefit Jadon’s Hope Foundation.

The 9th Annual Jadon’s Hope Bug Run/Walk is on a quest to find a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Jadon, a 5th grade student at Rolling Ridge Elementary, has been living with SMA since he was born. Please join us as “We Run to End SMA” and support “The Bug” aka Jadon.

Jadon Burks; aka “The BUG” was diagnosed with the terminal disease Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) on his 2 month Birthday. The news was overwhelming (to say the least) and while Jadon’s parents, Tony and Kristin, felt hopeless they were surrounded by incredible people, given good information, and became a part of an amazing “SMA family”. While they battle this disease daily they hope to help others facing this seemingly devastating diagnosis. Jadon’s Hope was formed to make an impact in the fight against SMA and to help families “Dance in the Rain”.

Our Mission: Jadon’s Hope Foundation strives to promote educational awareness and fund research efforts for Spinal Muscular Atrophy, the #1 genetic killer of infants under the age of two, while also providing support for families affected by terminal childhood diseases.
