Short review

The Iron Range Roll is a 16-mile fun (but timed) bicycle race from Ishpeming to Marquette along the Iron Ore Heritage Trail (IOHT).  The 8th annual Iron Range Roll is scheduled for Saturday, June 5, 2021.  We are looking forward to racing along the historic IOHT, after going virtual last year.  2021 will see more available options for racers than ever before, as we adapt to the ever-changing pandemic guidelines and recommendations.  We hope to hold the race as a physical event with a virtual option for those unable to travel, or wishing to take extra precautions.  We will be making changes to how the race is conducted but our goal, as it always has been, is to provide a family friendly bike race that is safe for everyone and abides by Federal, State and Local regulations. Thank you to everyone who stuck with us through 2020 and we promise to do our best to build on that success for the 2021 Iron Range Roll.  

This event celebrates the heritage and recreational culture of Marquette County – all in the name of giving back to our community’s youth through the YMCA of Marquette County’s Youth Programs.  

Connect Marquette is honored to partner with our sponsors, the Iron Ore Heritage Trail, the Cities of Ishpeming, Negaunee, and Marquette, Townships of Negaunee and Marquette, and the YMCA of Marquette County to present an annual recreation event that celebrates the connection of our communities along the IOHT.

The “Iron Range Roll” aims to be an all-inclusive event that promotes healthy living, fun, and giving back with participants of all ages and abilities.
