Short review
This is a series of free Virtual races (5K - 12K) that we have created to help people stay active during these uncertain times of COVID-19. There is no cost and all you have to do is sign-up and make it fun. You can walk / run in your neighborhood, park, or treadmill. Invite your family and friends to sign-up and we will recognize the Top 3 fastest walkers and the Top 3 fastest runners on our Facebook page below (request to join if you are not already a member). You simply need to let me know whether you are a runner or walker so your times can be compared to the appropriate group. Additional information:
- You will need to use a App that can record your time and distance for walks/runs. The app will need to be started once you start your race and stopped when you achieve the designated miles. The photos of your completed walk / run will need to be provided as proof of completion of the race inside of the race event on the FB group page below.
- Each race prep time includes 8-weeks. At 4-weeks, we will walk/run ½ of the race and record the time. If you want to follow the training plan, you can request to join the Facebook Group found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/638306463576950
- So essentially you could choose to participate in 1/2 the race at 4 weeks and the remaining 1/2 at 8 weeks and those times will be added to determine total time for the race. Or you can run/walk full race at 8 weeks on race day.
