Short review
Update: October 30: Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the state government has required us to cancel the race. Despite the best efforts of our friends at the park, the state park system has decided not to allow the event to proceed. As much as we'd love to hold a race, there's nothing we can do. This was not our decision, and we're just as disappointed as you probably are as you're reading this.
Registered runners will receive an email with further instructions.

Update: October 15th: We have reached the cap for the race as per the current restrictions on event sizes set by the state park. So, registration is closed...for now. That being said, we have communicated to them that we’d like permission to have more participants, because we know we can do an outdoor event safely, we come with plenty of hand sanitizer and Lysol, can individually package food, and provide social distancing on a 6.5 mile course. And we know there are people who do want to be part of the event and we also would love to give the park as much money as possible, since this event donates money for use on the trails based on the number of runners who attend.
The governor has lifted restrictions on event sizes within the state, but the state parks system is allowed to set their own restrictions and we will abide by their restrictions. So, check back after a few days, and we’ll post the final decision by the parks as soon as we know one way or the other. If we are allowed to have more participants, we will reopen registration. There is no wait list, asking won’t get you in, the situation is what it is right now and we’re at the mercy of the parks system.
We’re hopeful, but unfortunately, this isn’t our decision to make.
Runners who were registered as of October 15th were sent an email with further instructions.

Whether it’s your first half marathon, your first marathon, your first ultramarathon, or your fiftieth, we promise you’ll have a great time! Enjoy a low-key race experience with the friendliest volunteers around and more food than you've ever seen at a race in your life!
All runners (half marathon and further distances) receive a hooded sweatshirt, a wooden finisher's medal for all distances, all the food you can eat from Friday night to Sunday morning, and a rocking good time! 5K and 1 mile runners receive a t-shirt and a medal and post-race food. A portion of every runner’s registration fee will be donated to Harrison Bay State Park to be used for maintenance and upgrades for the trail system within the park.
Cabins with bunk beds are available on a first come, first served basis. Tent camping space is also available. Dry RV camping is available on a limited basis at the group camp; campsites with hookups are available within Harrison Bay State Park.
This is a LOW KEY, LAID BACK race experience. We value camaraderie over competition. We are out here to have a good time, to remove the high pressure of time limits and point-to-point courses, and to get everyone to the finish line. This is not Ironman or Rock N' Roll marathon. This IS, however, one of our most popular and most beloved races. PLEASE make sure to check out the website for this race before registering, so you understand the type of event you are registering for.
