Habitat Hammerbird Virtual 5K and One Mile Fun Run 2024

Short review

Our race normally gives participants a chance to see first-hand the Boston-Thurmond neighborhood, where Habitat for Humanity has built, remodeled or repaired more than 210 houses since 1985. Runners and walkers begin and end the 5K at Kimberley Park Elementary School, where a number of children from Habitat families are past or current students.

Of course, this year is anything but normal, so the 7th Annual Hammerbird has gone virtual!

Sign up by October 4 to be guaranteed a t-shirt by race day! Packet pick-up in advance of the race will be held at the Habitat ReStore at 608 Coliseum Drive on Friday, October 23 from 3 to 6 p.m. Otherwise, you will be able to pick up your t-shirt a week or two after the race at the Habitat ReStore at 608 Coliseum Drive, Winston-Salem. You may also request that your items be mailed. There will be a $2 charge for mailing.

 

All participants ages 8 and older receive a t-shirt. (We cannot guarantee requested t-shirt sizes for those registering after Oct. 4.) 

REGISTER, CREATE/SIGN UP FOR A TEAM, OR DONATE! (If you are creating a team or joining an existing one, select the GROUP/TEAM option on the registration site.) We welcome volunteers as well!

Early Bird Price Now through Sunday, October 4: $25 (Registration by October 4 guarantees we will have your size t-shirt on race day.)

Monday, Oct. 5 through Sunday, Nov. 1: $30 (Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 1)

Pre-Race Packet Pick-up will be held at the Habitat ReStore, 608 Coliseum Drive, on Friday, October 23 from  3 to 6 p.m.
