Short review

The Great Hill Challenge is a kid-friendly obstacle course for kids ages 4 - 18 at Newtown Battlefield State Park.  This race was specifically created for younger athletes to honor the Iroquois Nation, who were known as the Haudenosaunee, People of the Longhouse.  Native American Reenactors will be at the Indian Village to provide families with an authentic view of life in the longhouse.  War paint, photos with Native Americans, Native American storytelling, and self-directed Native American crafts will be available to enhance the experience.  Parents can and are encouraged to run with the athletes; however, please refrain from completing the obstacles.

There will be two options: 1 mile course and 2 mile course with age appropriate obstacles.  *The race is not professionally timed*  Each participant will receive a finisher's necklace and a water bottle.
