DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS ISSUE AND CURTAILING OF PUBLIC ACTIVITIES, WE HAVE CANCELLED THE RUN.
The Yahoola Outdoors Grape Stomp is a 5k and 10k trail run and 1 mile Fun Run at Montaluce Winery. Enjoy a run through the vineyards, the surrounding forests, and along the scenic Etowah River. The run is a fund-raiser to benefit the Dahlonega Trail Fest and is sponsored by Yahoola Outdoors, a 501c3 that produces the Dahlonega Trail Fest and advocates for non-motorized recreation in North Georgia, and Montaluce Winery and Restaurant.
Registration begins at 7:30 am.
Start times: 5k- 9:30 am; 10k- 9:50 am; 1 mile fun run- 11:00 am. All courses will close at noon.
Course is through the Montaluce vineyards, surrounding forests, and along the Etowah River. The terrain at Montaluce is hilly and there are several steep climbs on the course. Course follows some paved roads, dirt tracks, and, on the 10k, two cleared paths through forest.
T shirts guaranteed to registrations by midnight of Thursday, March 26. After March 26, t shirts will only be available as sizes last.
Follow the signs when entering Montaluce to the parking area. Staging area is at the Montaluce Swimming Pool.
Remember, the 10k and the 5k are trail runs. Wear clothing and shoes appropriate for trail running. Possibility of wet stream crossing if significant rain before the event.
Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall male and female. First place -19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-.
Before and after, enjoy informational, arts & crafts, and outdoor recreation vendor booths that will be set up at the start/finish line. Racers and non racers alike are welcomed and encouraged to arrive early and stay after the race to visit the booths, visit with each other and taste some fantastic North Georgia Wine and beer.
