YOU CAN'T STOP THE CUP! THE YMCA CORPORATE CUP 5K IS GOING VIRTUAL THIS YEAR!
Step 1: Register and invite your friends and coworkers to complete the 5K!
Step 2: Everyone can walk, run, bike, swim, or use a treadmill in order to complete their 5K virtually on one of our courses or a course of your own. Kids can participate in the Reading Challenge and read 168 pages of any book(s) to celebrate the GNO YMCA's 168th birthday!
Step 3: Track your miles through our RunSignUp site.
Who does this event benefit? 100% of donations and a portion of the registration proceeds will directly benefit YMCA Educational Services (YES) Adult Literacy Program.
What do I receive with my registration?
CORPORATE CUP 5K - Each registrant will receive a YMCA Corporate Cup t-shirt, a set of 2 environmentally friendly reusable coasters, a durable magnetic bookmark, and a Corporate Cup virtual bib. Also, each registrant in the Corporate Cup 5K will receive an entry into a drawing for one of these prizes: 10 Paddleboard Passes donated by Community Sailing New Orleans OR a "Life Green" Bicycle donated by Regions Bank. With our registration referral program you can earn more entries ... the more registrants that use your referral code when they register, the more entries you earn!
KID'S READING CHALLENGE - Each child will receive a YMCA Corporate Cup t-shirt, a durable magnetic bookmark and a Corporate Cup virtual bib.
How do I log my miles? Participants will be able to track progress by logging their daily mileage and activity (walk/run/bike/swim) on runsignup.com. Specific instructions will be sent out on 11/29/20 and will be included in your confirmation email. Miles can be logged between 11/29/20 and 12/13/20.
When do I receive my shirt? Participants have a choice of either local pick-up or shipping in order to receive their YMCA Corporate Cup packet.
LOCAL PACKET PICK-UP: Local participants will pick-up their packets on Saturday, Dec. 19th from 9am-12pm at the YMCA offices located at 320 Metairie Hammond Hwy. Our building has a waterfall and bead dog in the front and is located in Bucktown near R&O's Restaurant. Enter the first-floor garage of the building located on Seminole Ave. and drive through the garage/around the horseshoe. Your packet will be given to you through the passenger side window to maintain social distancing.
SHIPPING OPTION FOR PACKETS: During registration, participants can choose to have their packets shipped to them for a shipping and handling fee of $10. Participants will receive their packets by mail after the race has completed.
