Fostoria Band On the Run 5k Walk/Run 2020

Short review

This event will benefit the Fostoria Redmen Band program in the Fostoria City Schools. Come support instrumental music education and burn a few calories with us! 

Band programs come with several annual expenses, including instrument repair/maintenance, sheet music, uniform upkeep/replacement, equipment needs like music stands, and more. We also come across wonderful performance opportunities for the students that need financial support in order to happen. The Redmen Music Club is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to helping support the music department in the Fostoria City Schools, and the host of this event. 

Named "America's Original High School Band", the Fostoria Redmen Band program has a rich and noteworthy history, claiming to be one of the very first registered band classes within the high school schedule. Founded in 1919 by Jack Wainwright, the program has had continued statewide and national recognition of excellence for 100 years.

Looking for your next PR? The route is mostly flat and paved, perfect for optimal running. All runners and walkers are welcome! Every participant will receive an event shirt AND custom finisher's medal, and there will be water along the route. Fruit, cookies, and water will be available at the finish line. This event will also be officially timed by Dave’s Running! 

Packet pickup will be the morning of race day at the route! We will begin bib pickups at 6:30AM and will finish them at 7:45AM.
