Short review

The Fircrackerfrolic 5k is held in Easley SC. The race has been run for since 1992 and the Easley Lions Club took over presenting this event 7 years ago. The Easley Lions Club uses the funds raised from this event, minus expenses, to further the Easley Lions Clubs Sight Conservation projects in Easley SC. The monies raised are used in the greater Easley Community to buy glasses for those who are not able to afford them. Over $6,000 to $7,000 has been spent each year to buy glasses.

The Club wants this event to be a family fun event. We encourage wearing RED, White and Blue and running with or walking with our US Flag! The race is started with a firecracker!

We give out award for men and women first through third over all as well as age group awards. We have become famous for our unusual prize drawing after awards and each runner/walker is entered in this drawing. Don't be surprised if you receive a RC Cola at with your award! Some of the prizes we have given in the drawing are: A tub of bubble gum, A six pack of Yoohoo Chocolate drink, more RC with Moon Pies, A watermelon...
