Welcome to the West Point Half-Marathon - Fallen Comrades Run website! We are continuing this great West Point tradition in 2021 despite challenging conditions! Given the COVID-19 environment, this year's race will be held virtually for participants. The virtual race window will be from March 21st to April 4th, 2021 to submit results. A long-sleeve technical shirt and neck gaiter with race logo will be shipped to all participants after the race window closes. Register by February 22nd to guarantee you receive your long-sleeve technical shirt and neck gaiter. 

** All virtual race participants must be one of the following: 1) DOD ID-card holder or 2) A guest or friend of the USMA community (have a relationship or affiliation with USMA cadets, staff, faculty, or employees). Any questions on participation can be directed to: fallencomradesrun@gmail.com **

The intent is for USMA Cadets and USMAPS Cadet Candidates to run the event in-person. We will publish more details, but the race will have a staggered start as well as other COVID-19 mitigations. In the event that COVID-19 conditions at West Point change, the race would shift to a virtual format. Cadets and Cadet Candidates would still receive the race shirt and neck gaiter and be eligible for awards. No refunds will be issued if conditions dictate that the FCR shifts to a virtual race.  Cadets must register with westpoint.edu email accounts.

Fallen Comrades:  
This race is dedicated to those members of the Long Gray Line who have gone to war and paid the ultimate sacrifice. We honor and celebrate their memory as we build camaraderie through friendly competition.

 

Pricing:

Cadets: $35 (+ $3.03 processing fee (state dependent))
General Entry: $35 (+ $3.03 processing fee (state dependent)) 

 

The half marathon run/ruck will offer:

Long sleeve technical race shirt

Neck gaiter

Cadet and age-category prizes!

 

Competitive Categories for Awards:

Individual Half Marathon - Top 3 Male/Female: Overall

Top 3 Male/Female: age group 19 and under, 20-34, 35-49, 50-64, 65+

Top 3 Male/Female: Cadets

Half Marathon Ruck Top 3 Male/Female (carry at least 35 lbs.) 

Overall (Note: To be eligible for an award, you will be required to show proof of your time (Strava, Garmin, Apple, screenshot from cellphone, etc.)

** This event is a DCA (Directorate of Cadet Activities) NAFI event, not a Army West Point Marathon Team event. Any revenue generated will support the USMA Cadet Activities Fund (CAF) to support DCA's mission of providing comprehensive and diverse extracurricular, social, and recreational programs and services that enhance the leader development of the Corps of Cadets.
