Elizabeth River Run 10K & Mile Races 2023

Short review

This is a 10K on a flat & fast point to point course starting at Old Dominion University, running around campus then heading North on the Elizabeth River Trail through gorgeous, historic tree-lined neighborhoods along the waterfront, over the Hampton Blvd Bridge with sweeping views of the Elizabeth and Lafayette Rivers and finishing in a verdant private park at the Port of Virginia. Tidewater Striders will be partnering with the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation, a local 501(c)3 non-profit. The Elizabeth River Trail is a 10.5 mile multi-modal public trail that will host the Elizabeth River Run. The ERT Foundation's mission is to enhance and activate the trail, making it safer and more beautiful for runners, cyclists, and pedestrians alike.

ENTRY FEE: $45 for 10k until December 1st /$50 until May 1st, 2022 / $60 until Raceday and $15 for the mile. Strider Club members receive a $5.00 discount up until the close of online registration. Golden Runners/Strider Plus Runners are also discounted until the close of online registration.

Elite Registration If you qualify with the times below you can receive a Comp Registration. Please contact our Race Director at Orangerunning@yahoo.com, Your time must be from a 10K race completed between Jan 1 2021 and May 1st 2022. Open Male Sub - 31min Open Female Sub - 37min Male Masters Sub - 36min Female Masters Sub - 42min

AWARDS: 10k - top 3 overall female and male finishers in the following categories: Overall, Masters, 19&under, 5-year age groups 20-74 and 75+. Top male & female walkers. Youth age group awards for the one mile as well. Prize money will be awarded in the top 3 male and female and overall male and female masters winners. 1st place Male & Female Overall $500 2nd place Male & Female Overall $250 3rd place Male & Female Overall $125 1st place Male & Female Masters $125

TEAM COMPETITION All clubs and groups are welcome. Will be based on age-graded results, the 1st place team will be awarded the ERR Cup. You can Register your team and sign up for the team when Registering for the race on run signup.

FUNDRAISING - Individual and Team. Raise $250 for your run from friends and family and win a Tidewater Striders, Elizabeth River Run, and Elizabeth River Trail swag/prize pack for 1, raise $500, and get a prize pack for 2! Help the Elizabeth River Trail and Tidewater Striders bring back the ERR 10K bigger, better and on a more beautiful trail for years to come! Your donations allow us to organize clean-ups, recruit trail ambassadors, and offer free family-friendly and fitness events along the trail year-round. The deadline to meet the fundraising goal is May 21st!
