THE DELAWARE RESTAURANT RELIEF FUND VIRTUAL CHALLENGE

We are all in this together as we social distance apart. We know you are running and walking and this may be the bright spot in your day.  We want to introduce to you a new virtual run walk challenge that can be done by each of you in your free time when you want to run or walk.  We all know folks in the restaurant and bar industry who are not able to work right now.  So we have selected EATs (see below)  as the beneficiary of this exciting virtual run challenge.  

What we need you to do is to agree to run one of the following distances over the thirty day period from April 15 to  May 15.
Run as many miles a day to get in the distance you have chosen. 
Then send us your results with photos so IFA Virtual Races can formulate results.
You can register to run a total of 87.6 miles, 26.2 miles or 13.1 miles. 
Some can handle the half and full in a day...others like me will take much longer.
Register online and make a commitment for the distance you want to run or walk  over the next 30 days.
In return for your registration a portion of your entry fee will be donated to EATs.  As a reward for your effort and donation we will provide you with a gift card from the restaurant, bar, brewery of your choice. If you want to register more than once that would be awesome.
We  ask that you send us pictures and results on your Garmin ( or whatever you use)
so we can add photos to our Facebook page and Instagram.  Email wayne@races2run.com

The Delaware Restaurant Association, through its 501c3 Education Foundation (DRAEF) has formed the restaurant industry Emergency Action Trust (EATs) to provide immediate emergency funding to hospitality workers. The Trust, funded by private, community and individual donations, will distribute individual $500 grants to our front line industry employees during these uncertain times of mandated restaurant shutdowns.

DESCRIPTION

Join us for the Delaware Restaurant  EATs Virtual Race Challenge, and walk or run to support these local restaurants and breweries that host races2run events.  Use this challenge as a motivation tool to stay active, compete against family and friends, or just support those who are not working in the hospitality field during this difficult time.  Remember, you have one month to run the distance you have chosen.   
DISTANCES  87.6 miles:  distance between The Deer Park and The Starboard26.2 miles:  distance between Bayhead's Brewery and Trolley Square Oyster House13.6 miles:  distance between Kelly's Logan House and Cafe Gelato    Awards Ultra 87.6 miles   receive $20 gift card to restaurant or brewery of your choice listed below and $30 to EATsMarathon 26.2 miles:  receive $15 gift card to restaurant or brewery of your choice listed below and $25 to EATs  Half distance 13.1 miles: receive $10 gift card to restaurant or brewery of your choice listed below and $20 to EATs

*Registrants can sign up for multiple distances at once, or pick one distance and add another at a later date

NOTE that gift card awards are from establishments who host races2run events

With your entry fee we get to purchase gift cards to the establishments who support us and the balance goes as a donation to EATs (Emergency Action Trust)
