Down the Mountain Marathon 2021

Short review

This is a Unique race ran on the Va. Creeper trail from White top mountain down to the Alvarado station. With a gradual descent down the mountain that should result in a faster time as runners will descend 1,755 ft from start to finish.The Course will be certified and great place to post your personal best and potentially a qualifier for other events or marathons.

Start at Whitetop station Mile marker 33.4 and finish at Alvarado station.
Runners will begin at Whitetop station and run down the mountain though Damascus
and continue about a half mile miles past Alvarado to the turn-around and back to the
finish line at Alvarado station mile marker 9.3 from Abingdon or 25.2 miles from the
start line at Whitetop.
