This race will test your will but the experience and views will be well worth your effort!  Upstate Ultra welcomes you to the 7th Annual Conquer the Rock race series that is held in beautiful Table Rock State Park. Table Rock State Park fits the bill for the natural beauty. The towering mountain, which gives the park its name, serves as a backdrop for the 3,000 acre park. Below this section of the Blue Ridge Mountains, South Carolina natives and visitors can enjoy Table Rock State Park cabins, a campground and an old-fashioned swimming hole on one of the park’s two lakes. The Conquer the Rock Ultra includes the Foothills 50k and the Bear Crawl 25k. This event has a pure, gritty, and natural feel that nestles itself in the heart of the foothills trail. The race offers two distances that encompass a 15+ mile loop within the state park.    Events Foothills 50k 7:30am on March 6th Course Cut Off 11 Hours

Please make use of all the parking spots and carpool if available   Aid Stations There are two aid stations for the 50k that each runner will pass at mile 8 - 11 - 15 - 23 - 26.  This is a cup-less event so runners are required to carry a hydration bottle if they will need fluids during the race. The main aid station will have tailwind, soda, water, cookies, salt, chips, and crackers and various other items from our volunteers. We encourage each runner to bring an aid station item to contribute to this great event. The water station on course will have water ONLY. We gladly accept aid station donations of food items that you like to see at races. Our staff is very busy with course marking, timing, packet pickup, and communication with runners, that it does make it hard to prepare some amazing tasty treats in-between laps so feel free to contribute a little slice of heaven if you can! Thank you   Eco-Standard In an effort to be good stewards to mother nature we will not have any of the following items at ANY of our events. This is in an effort to reduce the carbon footprint being placed by endurance events throughout the world. Please have a cup or hydration bottle if you will need to consume water/nutrition during the event. Please bring your own fork/spoon for any post race meals. Please bring your own bags for items collected at the race.   Cabins & Campsites  There are also Cabins available with a 2 night minimum!
