SPCA's Furry 5K & Dog Jog 2021

Short review

Race Description: We still plan to host our event at the Castanea Fire Company Picnic Grounds this July. We are not only a voice for animals in need in Clinton County, but we view ourselves as stewards of the entire community - that means ensuring the safety of our staff, volunteers, sponsors, and all race participants (human and canine). While the race day on-site protocol will allow for proper physical distancing and other precautions, we are also offering a virtual race option for those who still wish to be part of the festivities and camaraderie of the Clinton County SPCA, but would rather run in a different environment! Prizes & shirts will be available for both traditional and virtual participants.    FURRY 5K

Kids under 10 can run or walk for free. Additional race shirts are available for $15 each. Please order by July 1st in order to ensure yourself a race shirt. There will only be a limited amount of shirts available same day. 

 

Traditional Course Description & Map: The Furry 5K race will be start at the Castanea Fire Company Picnic Grounds and will circuit back and end at the Picnic Grounds. The race will run along Lower Creek Road, partially along Bald Eagle Creek. Lower Creek Road will be closed to traffic. Virtual Option for Furry 5K: Run our Furry 5K on your own time with proper social distancing! You must complete the 5K before July 24, 2021. Winners will be announced online and prizes & shirts for virtual runners will be available for porch pick up at the SPCA or mailed (if non-local). Please be honest with your times, as we are using the honor system for the virtual race!
