Event Details:
Join us at North Vermillion High School's Stadium, on Sunday October 17th at 8am where we celebrate our 5th annual Snap to a Cure 5k/mile run. This year, Snap Fitness Maurice is collaborating with the "The Kaylee Abigail McLain Memorial Fund". Not a runner? Not a problem. Our one mile run/walk is on the all weather track at the stadium.  If you want to come show your support and just do part of the mile you are more than welcome. Both strollers and wheelchairs are of course allowed and encouraged. The 5k will start on the track, go to the streets of Maurice and finish back on the track. Awards will follow after the 5k.
Lives, both young and old, were positively impacted by Kaylee Abigail McLain. This beautiful, bright-eyed, barefooted girl instantly lit any room with her happy, always smiling, carefree attitude and contagious giggle. No matter the situation, Kaylee always exemplified and offered an uplifting, positive outlook. This precious child shared her love freely and exuded pure joy with everyone she encountered, whether it was the smallest child, or an elderly adult. She fit in effortlessly with friends and strangers alike, no matter their age or gender. Always grateful for the talents and abilities God blessed her with, Kaylee was that girl who consistently pushed herself to be the very best she could be, but not without motivating all of those around her first. 
On December 10, 2020 Kaylee was called to share that love in heaven with those who passed before her. The Kaylee Abigail McLain Memorial Fund was established in her honor so that her positivity and joyful ways can always be remembered and  so her beautiful legacy may live on. Kaylee's natural ability to express her love to God and others was fostered and allowed to blossom and grow through her Catholic education at Mount Carmel Elementary in Abbeville, Louisiana. It would be Kaylee's wish to continue spreading love and joy to others; therefore her memorial fund will continue to benefit children in Catholic education for years to come.    Packet Pickup: Packet Pickup will be held Saturday, Oct. 9th at the Whittington Vet Clinic in Abbeville from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm during the "Anything Over Rice Festival".  Packet Pickup will be at Snap Fitness in Maurice on Saturday, Oct. 16th from 11:00 pm to 3:00 pm.   Team Competition:
Gather up your friends, family and co-workers to create a team .
The top 2 teams with the most registered members will win Team Participation Awards.   Registration Fees:  Now till Oct. 3rd at midnight:  $30   -  1 Mile & 5K                                                                                 $20   -   Students (Ages 6-18)                                                         Free   -   Kids 1-5 are free but must be registered.   No shirt given with registration.
