Caveman Adventure Run - **POSTPONED** - New Date: TBD 2020

Welcome to the 3rd annual Caveman Adventure Run!  Our course utilizes the trails at the Ledge View Center into a quarry, up a 60ft. observation tower, into a cave system, along with other fun obstacles throughout the run.  All abilities welcome! 

*New date for 2020!  We are pushing our date back a month to June 13, 2020.

Create or Join a Team (5K only)!  The bigger the team, the more you save (up to 5 members). Short Course Fun Run (approximately 2.5 K or half the distance of the 5K)

Race Bib Pick-Up and Registration will be held at the Ledgeview Nature Center on Friday, June 12 from 4:00pm-6:00pm and Saturday, June 13 from 8:00am-9:30am for the 5K and 8:00am-10:00 for the Short Course.  You will receive your race bib, a shirt (if you registered by May 27), and a reusable grocery bag.  

Registration will close on the Wednesday before the race (June 10), which is a couple days earlier than last year so we can better prepare for the participants.  

Bag Check-in
We are offering a bag check-in for extra clothes and personal items.  Anticipate getting wet/muddy.  You can use the same bag that you will receive when you pick up your race bib.     

Shuttle and Parking
There is VERY limited parking at the Ledgeview Nature Center and the parking lot will not be available for participants on raceday.  Short Road is narrow and vehicles will be allowed to park only on one side of the road.  Your best bet is to utilize our Free Continuous Shuttle Bus.   Park at the Get Reel Chilton Twilight Drive-In Theater,  1255 E Chestnut St, Chilton, WI 53014, then sit back and relax as you make the 2 mile trip to the Nature Center.  Shuttle hours will be: 8:00am-1:00pm

Last year we had more than 200 registered participants plus spectators.  Please plan accordingly so you don't miss that start of the race (5K 10am, Short Course 10:30am)

We encourage Caveman, Cavewoman, and Cavekid costumes!  Those that dress-up will be entered into a drawing for prizes.

XM Timing is back to track your time from start to finish.  We encourage the faster runners to stage themselves near the front of the start line. Please no pets or strollers on the course.  

The Short-Course Fun Run is approximately 1/2 the distance or 2.5K.  Participants will run/walk trails to the cave system and to the fun trail obstacles before crossing the finish line. 

The tower, cave, and fun trail obstacles are optional.  However, those that skip obstacles will not be eligible for age group or team awards. 

There are some tight spaces on the course.  Please stay on the the right side of the stairs going up and down the tower.  The cave and fun trail both contain obstacles that require you to crawl on your hands and knees.  Please be patient at these points in the race as there is plenty of trail running on the course to make up time and pass other runners. 

Post Race
Everyone will receive finisher medals. 

Awards

Team members must stay together and complete the full course without skipping obstacles in order to be eligible for awards.
