3rd Annual Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k 2021

Short review

Join us for the 3rd Annual Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10k & 5k April 24-25, 2021, in Tucker County, West Virginia in the heart of the Potomac Highlands. This road race takes place in one of the East Coast’s most idyllic settings and is just a short drive to any outdoor activity you could want. The area is also home to two amazing and eclectic mountains full of arts and culture. So if you are looking for a new Half Marathon, 10k to run, and need a mountain vacation or just a getaway for the day or weekend we certainly are the race for you!

Currently - Saturday, 4/24 is SOLD OUT for the Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k. There are a few remaining spots for the Conquer the Valley Challenge.

We still have space available on Sunday, 4/25 for the Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k! 

We take COVID-19 seriously and will follow suggestions and guidelines from the CDC as well as our local Health Department to create the safest experience we can. 

Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k

We are so excited for our 3rd Annual Race! This year out of precaution surrounding COVID-19 we will be offering all of our races on both Saturday and Sunday, April 24-25. This will allow us to safely accommodate as many runners as possible and still have an epic weekend of running! 

After you begin the registration process you will be given a prompt to choose which day you prefer to race on. 

Conquer the Valley Challenge 

The Conquer the Valley Challenge is running the 5k on Saturday, April 24, and the Half Marathon on Sunday, April 25. It's a Runcation, why not run both days!

How the Conquer the Valley Challenge is Scored - 

We know it’s easier to make up time on a long-distance so this year we want to put more emphasis on the 5k. So your 5k time will be multiplied by 3 and combined with your Half Marathon time. The lowest overall time will be the winner.

Plus 

Half Marathon time = Lowest Combined Time Wins

We will be offering prizes to the top 3 overall Male and Female participants for the Conquer the Valley Challenge. 

All participants in the Conquer the Valley Challenge will receive all of the 5k Swag, Half Marathon Swag, plus an additional Awesome “Conquer The Valley” Finisher Medal (The Biggest Medal of All).

Swag and Bling

All participants will receive a distance-specific finisher medal, 1 tasty brew (must be 21 or older - Sunday after 10 am), post-race snacks, and awesome live music(as long as safety protocols allow) at the finish area. Due to West Virginia State Law, we are unable to serve alcohol until 10 am on Sunday, Saturday there are no time requirements.

Half Marathon Participants will receive one of our awesome lightweight Hoodies.

10k and 5k Participants will receive T-Shirts.
