The Bohicket Half Marathon and 5K at Seabrook Island is back, with help from Bohicket Market and Marina and Seabrook Exchange Club. After such a great success from changing our 10K into a premier Half Marathon event, we are proud to bring this event back to Seabrook Island.
Age group and award breakdown:
• Top three overall male and female
• First Master (40 years and older) male and female
• First Grandmaster (50 years and older) male and female
• First Great Grandmaster (60 years and older) male and female
• Top 3 in the following age groups(14 and under,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over )
This event will be Rain or Shine.
Packet Pick Up:
-Thursday November 18: 11:00AM - 6:30PM at Fleet Feet Mt Pleasant.
-Saturday November 20: Race Site (1880 Andell Bluff Blvd., Johns Island, SC 29455) 6:30 - 7:45AM
Proceeds from the race benefit the Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club and the Charleston Animal Society
COVID -19 RACE STATUS
While plans are in place to ensure we can hold this event, there is always a chance that permission will be taken away and the event will not be held.
However, to ensure the safety of runners and volunteers the following precautions will take place.
Each runner will receive a gaiter provided by the Cooper River Bridge Run to wear during the event.
The starting area will be divided with caution tape into five 6' lanes and then marked with lines every 8' crosswise.
All on course water & Gatorade will be served in unopened 12 oz bottles
Bathrooms will be professionally sanitized after every use
5 wave starts will allow 1-minute distance between each wave of runners. ~ 40 t- 50 runners per wave.
After party refreshments will be provided on the Boardwalk with proper social distancing observed.
All runners will have their temperature checked before entering corral
Awards will be available post run with proper social distancing observed.
All awards timing will be by chip time only due to wave starting.
In the event the run is canceled, all participants will have the option to defer to 2022 at no additional charge or elect to run on another date if rescheduled. If the event is canceled or a COVID related incident then a refund may be requested subject to a $5 processing fee.
