Short review

CANCELED as of 02/03/2021 at 4:00pm Unfortunately, the 2021 edition has been canceled in an abundance of precaution. Please look for the event in 2022 - in February.  If you would like to send a donation to the team - every dollars helps in this crazy time/situation. The Blazin’ LOVE 5K Saturday – February 13, 2021 – 5K starts @ 8:00AM USATF 5K Certified course – GA18010WC Benefit the VSU Cross Country Teams! In following with the City of Valdosta ordinance and VSU policy – we request that all participants wear a face mask covering their nose and mouth prior to and immediately after the 5K event. All spectators are always requested to wear a face mask covering their nose and mouth. Please distance yourselves from others. Please treat others as you would like to be treated – with kindness, awareness, and a generous heart. Please supply your own pre-race and post-race refreshments, and hand wipes.     5K Course: This USATF Certified course in Valdosta starts at the corner of Azalea Drive and College Street at the VECA School – 1605 Azalea Drive – Valdosta - 31602. Travels Azalea Drive to a left turn on Cranford Ave, right turn on White Oak Drive, right turn on Azalea Circle, left turn on Azalea Drive, right turn on Gornto Road, right turn on Georgia Ave, left on Clyde Ave, right on New Bern Street, right on Park, left on Delvid Street, right on Cranford, right on Georgia Ave, left on Cary Street and left on Azalea Drive, finishing at the VECA School. One loop course.   5K Individual Awards: The first 20 Male & Female finisher's will receive their award in the finish chute. Additional giveaways offered periodically after the top 20 of each sex has been awarded. There will be no post event awards ceremony.  5K Couples Awards: 1st Place Couple awarded to the fastest combined time for each of these 4 categories: Father/Daughter, Mother/Son, Husband/Wife, Male/Female. The team MUST BE DECLARED before the race starts  - Couples can sign up online by entering the name of the their partner and which category to be entered – and there will be a special table to sign in after you pick up your bib number on event day. Each individual is limited to one team only.   BLAZIN’ BONUS - 50/50 raffle drawing and more: Assured no less than $50 in winnings. Each chance - $2.00. Drawing at the start of the awards ceremony – you do NOT have to be present to WIN!  
 
Drawstring Carry Bag to all registrants - will not be mailed, must be picked up race morning.

$30 on Race Day – 02/13/2021  Blazer Pacer Entry Fee: $50.00 through February 9th. Drawstring Bag is included. First 4 men and 4 women to enter and want a VSU Blazer assigned to you to run every step with you – to help you run the very fastest possible. Sign up early before all slots are taken. BURN FLAME Entry Fee: $30.00 through February 12th. These are individuals who would like to support the VSU Cross Country teams – but unable to make the event. Your Drawstring Bag will be mailed to you the week after the event.   Please bring exact change – no refunds/exchanges.
