Bartram Springs Kids Triathlon 2023

Short review

 

Lets get our kids to.... SWIM!  BIKE!  RUN!  

This part of the Florida Race Day  Kids Triathlon Series - We limit these races to just 100 athletes and do sell out so we advise if you are interested to register early.  Proceeds of this event goes to The Special Olympics. 

Scared to send your little guys out on this endurance adventure? We get it - We have kids too :)  Here are some pictures of the last kids triathlon at Julington Creek and RiverTown.

Kids Triathlon participants will swim in the pool, jump on their bikes, then off on their feet for the running portion. The events will be chip timed with a finisher time. Distances are based on the age of the child. Kids must supply their own bikes and must wear a helmet to participate. The events will go off with each participant getting a net time with swimmers crossing a timing mat before they begin swim portion.  Kids Triathlon start time is 9:00 am,  Race distance is determined by child's age ( see below) 

Parents of 6-8 year old kids  We invite you to join your kids on bike portion of their ride. 

Ages 6-8, 50 yards ( 2 lengths ) in pool, bike approx 1.5 mile run approx .5 mile Ages 9-11 100 yards ( 4 lengths) in pool, bike approx 1.5 mile , run approx  1 mile  Ages 12-14 150 yards ( 6 lengths)  in pool, bike approx 1.5 mile , run approx  1.5  mile 

 

All participants will get a racing bib, Florida race day sports reusable water bottle, Florida Race Day headband, finishers medal, and race photographs. Finishing results will be posted online.  Costs for Kids triathlon start at $35 until August 31st.

 

Awards will be given out to top 3 male and 3 female of each age group. 

This race will be chip timed with kids wearing Velcro timing bracelets that must be returned at race finish.  Not returned straps will result in a $35 charge.

PACKET PICK UP is at race location on race morning  - Sunday October 3rd  between 7:45 am - 8:30 am - NO RACE DAY SIGN UPS

We encourage all runners to bring their own multiple use water bottle so that we do not add to the mounting plastic waste on earth. Please bring a reusable water bottle that you will bring with you during the race or for afterwards. You may refill your bottle at our water jug. Plastic water bottles will be available after the race but we are trying to reduce our footprint. <<<
