Part 1: TRAIN Anyplace (May 1-30)

The Grace Race Anyplace “30-day challenge” is a unique opportunity to create a personal 30-day training program that will help you achieve your running or fitness goals while feeding children every step along the way!  There are several 30-day training programs to choose from or you can create your own customized program.  Keep in mind that you don’t have to be active every day to participate in the 30-day challenge.  The main goal is to help feed starving children!  We encourage everyone involved in the 30-day challenge to use this month of “training” as an opportunity to promote, inspire and challenge others to join you in “feeding children with every step”.  Here’s how it works:

-Select one of the featured 30-day training challenges or create your own (see “10 featured training programs”)
-Make a donation of any amount.  (see suggested donation ideas)
-use #graceraceanyplace throughout May to post results, log activity, show pictures, challenge others and more!

Part 2: RACE Anyplace (May 28-31)

The Grace Race Anyplace “racing event” will take place in hundreds of locations all over Akron, OH and across the country throughout the entire Memorial Day Weekend.  We are encouraging all participants to run/walk anytime and anyplace you would like between Friday, May 28 – Monday, May 31.  There will be an official Grace Race Anyplace LIVE broadcast on Monday, May 31 from 9-9:15am for a celebration you won’t want to miss!

There are 5 official racing events to choose from (1-mile, 2-mile, 5k, 10k, 10-mile).  Because the event takes place over a 4-day weekend (Friday-Monday), you may choose to enter more than 1 race as long as you run each race during the Memorial weekend.  The cost is $20 per race (includes 1 shirt even if you sign up for more than 1 race).  Every time you enter a race you will have the ability to submit your race results. We will have an unofficial leaderboard (with age/gender categories) for each of the 5 races on graceraceanyplace.org as well as on social media.  No medals will be given… only bragging rights 😊.

Consider sharing your course/distance/location on social media using #graceraceanyplace so that we can celebrate all the different places the Grace Race is being held throughout the weekend.  Please feel free to invite friends, family or associates to join you by letting them know when, where, how far and how fast you plan on running/walking the Grace Race Anyplace.

3 Important Steps! We encourage everyone to participate in part 1 (30-day TRAIN) AND part 2 (1-weekend RACE) to help feed as many starving kids as possible! You will only receive a t-shirt for part 2.  Use #graceraceanyplace for part 1 (TRAIN) and part 2 (RACE) throughout May on your Facebook, Instagram or Twitter after every run!  Post a picture, your course, your distance, your results, or your story to help inspire others to “feed children with every step”.  Don’t do it alone!  Invite others to join you during the 30-day training as well as race weekend and share the Grace Race Anyplace experience together! Ten featured training programs for 30-day challenge: Consistency Club Run/walk at least 5 days a week from May 1-30th. “Get your Steps In” Club Set a goal of steps to get in each day (4000, 7000, 10000, etc.) … and get your steps in!
