Attention Reds on the Run 5K Registrants: In compliance with the Mayor’s measures to cancel all public events this weekend, the race and Health Summit have been cancelled. Critical services provided by the City of New Orleans are required for the success and safety of this event, and those services are no longer available to us. It is uncertain when services will be available. Subsequently,
As stated in the waiver:
I understand all entries are final with no refunds and that race organizers reserve the right in the event of an emergency or local or national disaster to cancel the race or change the day or time to a later date. In the event of cancellation there is no refund of entry fees.
Here is our commitment:
Rest assured that the proceeds are still going to four amazing charities: St. Jude, Split Second Foundation, Crescent Care – FACES Program, and New Orleans Family Justice Center – Battered Women’s Program. Thank you for your contribution!
Finisher medals and/or T-Shirts can be mailed by completing this form by March 27, 2020.
When safe for the community, a later local pick-up date will be determined and shared.
All registrants have been converted to Virtual Runners in the event that you wish to complete the 5K independently. This is optional. The race sign-up page will disseminate information on how you can report your time.
The New Orleans Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, along with the New Orleans Section of the National Council of Negro Women, hopes that these accommodations will keep you as a supporter in the years to come, and we appreciate your understanding in this unforeseen circumstance which caused the cancellation. Please let us know if you have questions.
