2nd Annual Outrun the Stigma Run/Walk 5K 2019

Outrun the Stigma is a 5K race to help raise awareness of mental illness in South Eastern Kentucky. To kick off the event, a Health Fair featuring representatives from local organizations will begin on the Gatliff lawn at the University of the Cumberlands at 5:30PM. This fair is designed to provide information about services available in the area. A percentage of the event proceeds will be donated to Anchored Ministries, a residential treatment facility in Williamsburg. The cost of the race is $30 for adults and $25 for children 17 and under, but discount rates are available through April 4th. Please bring kids in strollers and pets free of charge. Shirts and a goodie bag are included in the price. Use Coupon Code PsychedOut until March 18th for $10 off. Use Coupon Code Countdown March 19th until April 4th for $5 off. Coupons are available to all racers if applied by the deadlines. No shirts are guaranteed ready on Race Day for racers registering after April 11th. However, orders for shirts will be accepted for $15 on race day. Winners in various categories will be awarded a prize in the post-race ceremony coordinated by Falls Road Runners. Check-in will start at 5:30 p.m. and the race will start at 6:30p.m. Participants will be able to purchase a luminary to honor a loved one who has suffered or is suffering from a mental illness in the ceremony after the race.
