COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear 2020 Winters Spooktacular Fun Run Participants,

We are currently facing unprecedented, difficult times, and we would like to offer our deepest sympathies for everyone impacted by COVID-19. Our top priority has always been the safety of our runners and staff. 

As such, the organizers of the 2020 Winters Spooktacular Fun Run have decided to CANCEL the planned live event on 10/31/20 at Rotary Park in Winters and convert all events to VIRTUAL EVENTS. 

It is our intent to have Persons who have already registered for a specific live event, to have their registration roll over into that same virtual event.

We can’t wait until we can all step-up to the start line together. In the meantime, stay safe and keep running!

The 2020 Winters Spooktacular Organizers

 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Grab your costume and running shoes and head out to your favorite running location and run your event distance anytime / anyplace between the 2020 Winters Spooktacular Virtual Fun Run Race period. The race period starts at 12:00 AM on 10/26/20 and ends at 11:59 PM on 10/31/20.  Please join us for Winters' very own Halloween Virtual Fun Run sponsored by Winters Rotary Club, where all race proceeds are donated to local services and scholarships. So if you dare to challenge yourself to a spooky fun time, sign up TODAY ...  Trick-or-Treat!  Happy Halloween! 

ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSING

Cutoff date for Online Registration is 10/11/20 at 11:59 pm or until event limits are reached.

EVENT LIMITS- 100 PARTICIPANTS TOTAL

1 MILE MONSTER MASH EVENT- 35 Participants.

5K Event- & 35 Participants.

10K Event- 30 Participants.

SHIRTS & MEDALS UPDATE

There has been a sudden change to the Run Sign Up 2020 Winters Spooktacular Virtual Fun Run packet pick up directions. Please do not visit Eagle Drug in Winters to pick up your Packets!

ALL RACE MEDALS AND SHIRTS WILL BE MAILED AFTER THE RACE PERIOD TO ALL PARTICIPANTS.

Run Anytime / Anyplace between 12:00 AM 10/26/20 to 11:59 PM 10/31/20

REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS

All Races Finishers receive Medals. 5K/10K= Tech Tee  .  1 Mile Monster Dash= Shirt 

FEES

1 Mile Monster Dash $20.00.  5K $30.00 until 8/1, $35.00 until 9/26. 10K $35.00 until 8/1, $40.00 until 10/11.

RESULTS

Please post your race result photos on Facebook. On Facebook go to the ' 2020 Winters Spooktacular Run ' 

Sample posts can be; a photo of your sports watch final distance, a screen shot of your running/walking app. distance or just a photo of you in your costume after your run or walk. This is not a timed race, however we would prefer your race to be within the virtual time period: Run Anytime / Anyplace between 12:00 AM 10/26/20 to 11:59 PM 10/31/20.
