5/5/2020 We are disappointed to announce that this years race has been CANCELLED due to Covid -19 virus. As well, our fall race on the River2Ridge trail has been cancelled. Racers who have registered for the Father's day race have the following options. Defer to next years race, request a refund, or do one of our virtual races coming soon this summer. Father's Day, Sunday, June 21, 2020.  This race has been cancelled, and re-scheduled for Father's day Sunday June 20, 2021.

Pick your challenge!  Choose from a Half-Marathon, Family 5K, and/or Kid's 1-mile Fun Run! The half-marathon is a brewery to brewery race, beginning and ending at the Gilded Otter, that features challenging running along the scenic Walllkill Valley Rail Trail south through the Yard Owl Brewery, and offers runners a bucolic New Paltz landscape with sweeping views of the Shawangunk Ridge, the town of Gardiner, farms, the Wallkill River, and Historic Huguenot Street, a National Historic Landmark District.  The 5k runs along Historic Huguenot Street and the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail.  This race is a combination of trail and road race.

Half-Marathon: Will be timed in 5 year age groups.  Online registration closes on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 and will be capped at 600.  Same day registration will be $65.00.

5K: Will be timed in 10 year age groups. Online registration closes on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. Same day registration will be $35.00

1-mile kid’s race: Children ages 5-13 can participate in a fun 1-mile out and back run on the rail trail after the awards ceremony around 10:00am.  Race day registration will be $15.00.

Proceeds to benefit the New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce and its community projects. 

Event details and schedule

The race starting time is 7:30am for the 1/2 marathon, 8:00am for the 5K.  The Kids 1-mile fun run will be after the awards ceremony at 10:00am. The races start at the Gilded Otter parking lot in downtown New Paltz along the Walllkill River. The 1/2 Marathon is capped to 600 persons due to the size of the trail. There will be same day registration for the ½ Marathon, 5k, and kids fun run on race day, and at packet pickup on Saturday, June 20th.

Friday, June 19th at Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie from 3pm - 7pm.Saturday June 20th at Clemson Bros. Brewery at the Gilded Otter from 12pm - 4pm.Sunday (RACE DAY) June 21st at Clemson Bros. Brewery at the Gilded Otter starting at 6am.RACE BEGINS at 7:30am! Arrive early to pick up your packets!

THERE IS NO PARKING AT WATER STREET MARKET AND VERY LIMITED PARKING AT CLEMSON BROS. BREWERY AT THE GILDED OTTER. Plan to park in municipal parking lots in town.

There are no strollers or dogs allowed during any of the races.
