Important Update!  The Race Location has changed.  The new location address is 500 Hartness Drive.  You will be entering the Hartness property from Garlington Road, not Hwy 14.  Sorry for the late change.

This is a Greenville Track Club Corporate Shield event

The 2020 GE 6k Cross Country Race will be held on Saturday October 10th from 8:00 to 12:00 PM. The race starts in a large open field so maintaining social distance should not be an issue. Please register for a specific time slot and try to arrive on time and leave as soon as you are finished.

This is a virtual event at the Hartness Nature Preserve.  Please enter the property from Hwy 14.  Access from Pelham Road will be blocked by a locked gate.   Do not enter at the main Hartness Entrance.  The entrance is ~200 ft. to the south of the main entrance on Hwy 14.

There will be no paper race numbers, but each participant will be provided a race number to put into the app. If you do not own a Smartphone, please contact the race director prior to the race.

Individual and team race results will be calculated afterwards.  Awards will be available for pickup after the event at Fleet Feet on Augusta Street.

All finishers will be eligible for prize drawings to be announced after the results are available. Prizes will be available for pickup after the event at Fleet Feet on Augusta Street.

Considerations for COVID-19 prevention:

Please bring a mask and maintain social distance at all times during the event. You are not required to wear a mask while you run, but please have one with you and use it if you cannot maintain social distance (at least 6 feet) from other participants.

Due to COVID-19 we are trying to limit the number of guests on-site at any given time. Participants will sign up for 15-minute blocks of time on a first-come-first-served basis. Please arrive within your 15-minute time to avoid lines in the parking lot and at the starting line.

Parking:

Refer to the Parking Guide (downloadable pdf) below.

It is also important to be prepared to start your run as quickly as possible after you arrive, and that you leave as soon as possible after you are finished so the next group of participants can start. Restroom facilities (Porta Johns) are limited. Please use the restroom before you leave home and, if possible, warm up before arriving.

Bottled sports drinks and water will be provided at the finish, but please do not congregate at the finish line, or anywhere else before or after the race. We know how much runners like to socialize and talk about the race afterwards, but we need to make room for the other participants so please head back to your car as soon as you can.

See the Course Map (downloadable pdf) below. This is a 6k cross country race on a closed course, in the Hartness Nature Preserve. The course will be on grass, gravel and dirt with some hills.
