2020 Guthrie Sayre Turkey Trot is going Virtual!    What is a virtual race?   Well, it’s as easy as pumpkin pie!  - Register today to secure your spot
- Complete your run or walk anytime, anywhere: treadmill, park, trail, or neighborhood, the options are limitless!
- Receive you swag in the mail after the race!     How do I register? - Registration opens October 19th and closes November 28th
- Register by 10 p.m. on November 21st  to guarantee you will receive your 14th Annual Guthrie Sayre Turkey Trot t-shirt
    * T-shirts may be available after November 21st in limited quantities - Early Bird 3-Day Special! Registration runs from October 19th – October 21st.  Early Bird Registration fee is $20 Individual Virtual Run/Walk and $18 Virtual Teams. - Registration fee after October 21st is $25 for all participants (Little Turkeys 12 and under run for free!)   I am all registered!  What’s the Next Step? Now you trot!  You can run, walk, skip, or jog the 5K distance (3.1 miles) anytime between November 22-29. Continue your family tradition completing your 5K on Thanksgiving Day or run off the extra helping of mashed potatoes and gravy the day after!  Here’s the best part… it’s 100% your choice! Check out our Online Leaderboard!  Participants will be able to record their time, track other racers, and challenge themselves. And remember, this is based on the honor system. No need to upload data to Strava or record your mile with a GPS. No one will be looking to DQ you. Once you are registered, you will be able to upload your time using the following steps: Step 1: Make sure you are logged into RunSignUp (use the email you used to register).
Step 2: Click on the RESULTS then click on the blue box that says SUBMIT VIRTUAL RESULTS. Search for your name.
Step 3: Add your time and save your results. It might take a few minutes to update in the overall results but you can refresh the page and wait. That's it! You are done.

 

Print Your Bib! You have the ability to print off your "bib" as part of being a participant. Go to Find A Participant. Search your name and select the bib number assigned to you on the far left hand side.  Your bib will appear and you can print or save the file.     We love being social… even if it’s in a virtual way!  We want to see all the pictures you snapped while you were training or during race week on our Facebook page. We will be awarding prizes in the following photo contest categories! - Costume Challenge - Individuals or Teams – send in pic/video for a chance to win a prize! - Families – send in a pic of your family running or training for the Turkey Trot for your chance to win a prize! - Farthest Distance if COVID-19 restrictions are keeping you from coming home for the holidays, you can still take part in this beloved community tradition!  Snap a picture and let us know where you are running the virtual 5K.  The furthest distance from Sayre, PA will win a prize! - Best Little Turkey – show us your little turkey shaking their tail feather across the finish line for your chance to win a prize!  - Best Vintage Turkey Trot T-shirt – show us your favorite Turkey Trot t-shirt from the past 13 years!  Show us a shirt from every year and be entered to win a special prize! *All prizes winners will be chosen after November 29th.  Check the Sayre Turkey Trot Facebook page to see a full list of winners!   What kind of race swag do I receive?  All participants will receive a Turkey Trot t-shirt and unique, printable race bib

*There are no refunds or exchanges available for t-shirts.  Only registered and paid participants of the race are eligible to receive a t-shirt or medal. 

The first 150 participants to register will receive a commemorative finisher medal *Medals and shirts are currently in production.  We are doing everything we can to get your swag to you as quickly as possible, but we cannot guarantee you will receive your t-shirts or medals before race week.  Mail service interruptions and essential items receiving priority during shipping may create delays outside of our control.   We thank you truly for your patience.  

 

Who do the race proceeds benefit? Proceeds from the Guthrie Sayre Tukey Trot will benefit Guthrie’s Cancer Care Fund. This fund was designed to help with the many financial burdens that come with fighting a cancer diagnosis, whether its arranging payment to heat a home for a patient undergoing chemotherapy or providing gas gift cards to patients just to get them back and forth to treatment.  Don’t be a turkey and let this great opportunity to support the Cancer Care Fund at Guthrie pass you by!   2020 Guthrie Race Series Unfortunately, due to the cancelation of the 2020 Guthrie Gallop during the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be providing a Guthrie Race Series participant gift.  We will resume the Guthrie Race Series participant gift when our runners can complete both the 2021 Guthrie Gallop and 2021 Turkey Trot.  We thank you in advance for your understanding and support   Let’s get running on the ultimate leg day… turkey legs that is… and for the whole week of Thanksgiving to keep this community tradition alive!  It’s going to be virtually AWESOME!
