Short review
Henderson Husky 5k and 1 mile fun run benefiting the Henderson Elementary School PTCO is in its 12th year! We've brought a decade of running and fitness awareness to Henderson and the Montclair community. Join us in celebrating this huge milestone by making this the biggest event yet! The 5K is a scenic loop run through beautiful Montclair, Virginia, with runners of all ages. There's also a stroller division! The race is entirely on pavement, includes a few rolling hills, and a run past gorgeous Lake Montclair. Additional info: parking can easily be found on neighboring streets nearby, size of the 5k is usually 350-400 runners (many of whom travel from as far as DC, MD, Manassas, Stafford, etc to compete), medals for all, awards for age group winners, fun and supportive atmosphere, always starts on time, and a reliable timer! The one miler is a fantastic race for ages 1-99 with an out and back course filled with cheering neighborhood spectators. Each miler receives a medal and shirt. Award categories are as follows:
7 & u 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
8-9 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
10-11 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
12-14 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
